Spectacular Doubtful Sound (HT04)
This flight departs Queenstown, over vast New Zealand high country, large scale sheep and beef farms, secluded alpine lakes, extensive New Zealand native forests with towering mountains for as far as the eye can see.
Doubtful Sound is a massive wilderness area of rugged peaks, rainforest and twisting, hidden inlets - all deep in the heart of Fiordland National Park.
Known for its pristine beauty and wildlife, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of the 14 fiords in Fiordland National Park and is three times longer and ten times larger than Milford Sound.
It is home to Bottlenose Dolphins and Fur Seals.
Included is a wholesome, fresh, homemade lunch, served, when landed, on a selected beach site.
Smell the fresh sea air and feel the sand between your toes.
The return flight to Queenstown provides views of Lake Te Anau, steep beech forest covered valleys and meandering rivers.
